Mount Vernon Resident Named To Nursing Honor Society

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. – Mount Vernon resident Danielle Mendola has been inducted into the Tau Rho Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau, the international honor society for nursing at Quinnipiac University.

Mendola was one of 48 undergraduate students that were inducted into the honor society at the School of Nursing ceremony.

To be eligible for the honor, students must be in the top 35 percent of their graduating class. They must also have completed at least half of their degree curriculum and must maintain academic integrity.

Quinnipiac University launched the School of Nursing in 2011. It offers a traditional bachelor of science in nursing, and an accelerated BSN for second degree students. The program also offers doctoral-level and post-master level tracks.
