Committed individuals who live in the school district of voting age may run for this unpaid position.

To run for library trustee, it is necessary to get 25 signatures on a petition then file it with the libraries Election Clerk by Wednesday, April 13. Seek extra signatures. All signers need to be registered to vote in Mount Vernon.

Petition packets are available at the library from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The election will take place Tuesday, May 3 at the Mount Vernon Public Library, 28 South First Ave., Mount Vernon.
