MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- The city of Mount Vernon has begun resurfacing a number of "dilapidated streets that have been neglected for way too long," according to officials.
There are several streets that were scheduled to be milled and paved on Wednesday and Thursday. Several are scheduled for Friday and early next week, including:
Friday, June 10:
- Sandford Boulevard (between Highland Avenue & Colonial Place)
- Harding Parkway (paving) – (between Central Parkway & N. Fulton Avenue)
- Harding Parkway (milling) – (between Central Parkway & N. Fulton Avenue)
Drivers are urged to observe the "No Parking" signs posted in these areas to help move the project along quickly and efficiently.
