St. Patrick's Day Parade Draws Thousands In Yonkers

YONKERS, N.Y. -- McLean Avenue in Yonkers became a sea of green Saturday afternoon as thousands turned out for the 62nd Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade.

Archbishop of the New York Archdiocese Cardinal Timothy Dolan served as the parade's grand marshal.

Irish dancers, marching bands and local Gaelic Football Club members were among the estimated 5,000 parade participants.

The parade got under way at 1 p.m. on McLean Avenue between Bronx River Road and Hyatt Avenue.
