Mount Vernon Offering Affordable Summer Camps

The Safe Haven Summer Day Program is designed to provide an enjoyable, safe environment for Mount Vernon students who are between 6 and 12 years old.

The summer camp is supervised by experienced directors and counselors. Campers will participate in a myriad of activities and will go on field trips to Lake Compounce, Splish Splash, Mountain Creek and Regal Cinema.

The program will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. from July 8 through Aug. 16. at the Longfellow Elementary School. Those interested in registering for the $400 program can contact the Mount Vernon Youth Bureau at (914) 665-2344.
