Mount Vernon Adult Education Class Registration Starts

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. – The Mount Vernon City School District has scheduled registration for free adult classes from May 4-21 from 7-8 p.m. and on July 1 from 9-11 a.m. and 7-8 p.m. at the Adult Education Annex/St. Ursula School at 183 Rich Ave., Mount Vernon.

Free adult education classes are for adults 21 years of age and older. English as a second language is designed for adults whose native language is not English.

The Adult Basic Education and High School Equivalency Classes help students in the following areas:

  • Prepare for the TASC Exam
  • Improve reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills
  • Improve conversation skills
  • Discover more job opportunities

Classes are held at The Adult Education Annex starting July 6, Monday -Thursday, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
