On Tuesday, Aug. 9, the Kraft Mobile Food Pantry will be at the Macedonia Baptist Church on S. Ninth Avenue, where they will distribute fresh, healthy food for families in need of local assistance.

Several times each month, the Kraft Mobile Food Pantry - a specialized, 36-foot refrigerated beverage-style truck - brings “a market on wheels” to cities in Westchester, delivering fresh, nutritious items to underserved communities. Additionally, they distribute fresh vegetables harvested through the organization’s “Food Growing Program.”

Since the Mobile Food Pantry was established in 2013, nearly 3 million pounds of food has been distributed to nearly 200,000 people.

The Mobile Pantry will be available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.. on Tuesday, Aug. 8 at the Macedonia Baptist Church at 141 S. 9th Ave.. Those interested in the service can contact Pastor Janice Benjamin at the Sacred Heart Food Pantry.
