"Jam on the Vine" is the debut novel from Barnett and follows an African-American woman journalist in the South during the Jim Crow era. Barnett has received two nominations for the Pushcart Prize and her previous works include a trilogy of full length plays and two volumes of interviews with women musicians.
The event is from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Following the reading, Barnett will sign copies of "Jam on the Vine." Copies will be available for purchase. Light refreshments will be served.
