MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. - A bike-a-thon and several concerts highlight this weekend's events in Mount Vernon.

Friday, Sept. 21

Concert at the Bayou : 11 p.m. Comic Tales of Tragic Heartbreak performs at the Bayou Restaurant. Admission is $5, 580 Gramatan Ave., Mount Vernon.

Saturday, Sept. 22

Multi-Family Tag Sale : 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be a tag sale at 277 E. Grand St., Mount Vernon.

Concert at the Bayou : 8 p.m. Singer/songwriter Ali Isabella performs at the Bayou Restaurant. Admission is $5, 580 Gramatan Ave., Mount Vernon.

Sunday, Sept. 23

Bike-A-Thon : Noon. The City of Mount Vernon is sponsoring the 1st Annual bike-a-thon in conjunction with the Department of Recreation. Registration for the event is $10 and includes a free T-shirt and a chance of winning a new mountain bike. Don’t have a bike? Not a problem. Bicycles and helmets can be rented for $15 on-site (limited quantities). The event will start on Gramatan Avenue, between Center and Broad streets at 10 a.m. and will finish back at Maggie Spillane’s Ale House at noon. For more information, call 914-665-2420. To register, stop by the Recreation Department, City Hall – Room 11.

Early Worship Service : 7:30 a.m. Macedonia Baptist Church will have a worship service, 141 S. 9th Ave.

Praise Worship : 8 p.m. First Presbyterian Church will have a worship service, 199 N. Columbus Ave.

Sunday Worship : 7:30 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Grace Baptist Church will have three worship services, 52 S. 6th Ave., Mount Vernon.
