MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. — The Arts On Third Festival, a tag and bake sale, and arts and crafts for children highlight this weekend’s events in Mount Vernon.

Friday, Sept. 14

Computer Lab for Academic Use: 2 p.m.-4 p.m. The Mount Vernon Public Library will have computers available for students doing their schoolwork. 28 S. 1st Ave., Mount Vernon.

Arts and Crafts for Children: 4 p.m.-5 p.m. The Mount Vernon Public Library will hold an arts-and-crafts hour for kids. 28 S. 1st Ave., Mount Vernon.

Concert at the Bayou: 11 p.m. Stitching together rock ’n’ roll, swing, surf, honky-tonk and bebop, Izzy and the Catastrophics are often compared to rockabilly greats of the past. Bayou Restaurant, 580 Gramatan Ave., Mount Vernon.

Saturday, Sept. 15

Tag Sale: 11 a.m.-3 p.m. The Mount Vernon Animal Shelter will hold a tag and bake sale. 600 Garden Ave., Mount Vernon.

Concert at the Bayou: 11 p.m. Black Crowes tribute band Remedy performs at the Bayou Restaurant. Admission is $5. 580 Gramatan Ave., Mount Vernon.

Sunday, Sept. 16

Early Worship Service: 7:30 a.m. Macedonia Baptist Church will hold a worship service, 141 S. 9th Ave.

Praise Worship: 8 p.m. First Presbyterian Church will hold a worship service, 199 N. Columbus Ave.

Sunday Worship: 7:30 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Grace Baptist Church will hold three worship services, 52 S. 6th Ave., Mount Vernon.
