MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. — A couple of concerts and a Shakespeare play highlight events in Mount Vernon this weekend.

Friday, Jan. 11

Arts and Crafts for Children : 4 p.m.-5 p.m. The Mount Vernon Public Library will hold an arts-and-crafts hour for children. 28 S. 1st Ave., Mount Vernon.

Concert at the Bayou : 11 p.m. Cliff Hackford and Friends perform at the Bayou Restaurant. Admission is $5. For more information, call 914-668-2634. 580 Gramatan Ave., Mount Vernon.

Saturday, Jan. 12

Shakespeare Play : 1:30 p.m. The Red Monkey Theater Group will perform "A Midsummer Night's Dream" at St. Paul's Historic Church, 897 S. Columbus Ave., Mount Vernon.

Concert at the Bayou : 11 p.m. The Fingees perform at the Bayou Restaurant. Hailing from the beautiful "Nature Island" of Dominica, brothers Garner and Peter migrated to the United States during the mid-1970s and became members of different bands.
