Friday, Nov. 30

Safe Driving Class: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The AARP will have a safe driving class at the Mount Vernon Public Library, 28 S. First Ave., Mount Vernon.

Bake and Book Sale: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Friends of the Mount Vernon Public Library will hold a bake and book sale at the library. 28 S. First Ave., Mount Vernon.

Budget Meeting: 7 p.m. The Mount Vernon City Council will hold a meeting to discuss the proposed 2013 budget. The public is welcome to attend but cannot participate. 1 Roosevelt Square, Mount Vernon.
