Martin Luther King Jr. Day : All schools and public buildings in Mount Vernon will be closed in observance of the holiday.

Tuesday, Jan. 22

Regents Testing : Regents testing begins in the Mount Vernon City School District.

Career Counseling : 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The Mount Vernon Public Library offers free career counseling. 28 S. First Ave., Mount Vernon.

Family Fun For Tots : 10:15 a.m. to noon. Parents and their children will have play time in the Children's Room of the Mount Vernon Public Library. 28 S. First Ave., Mount Vernon.
