MONDAY

Labor Day Commemoration.  Tours throughout the day recall the various and shifting occupations over the centuries of men and women interred in the historic cemetery. There also will be a 1 p.m. presentation in the museum about the history of Labor Day. Tours of the Church bell tower offered.  Free.  St. Paul's Church National Historic Site, 897 S. Columbus Ave., Mt. Vernon. 

TUESDAY

The Blue Door Thrift Shop.  10 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Community Church at the Circle, 7 East Lincoln Ave., Mt. Vernon.

THURSDAY

Rest in Peace: The History of Funerals in America.  7 p.m.  A talk by Nancy Coffey, professor at the American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service, and director of a Westchester funeral home.  Free.  St. Paul's Church National Historic Site, 897 S. Columbus Ave., Mt. Vernon.
