MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. – The brain trust behind “Mount Vernon Proud Day,” which is directed by the Department of Recreation, has scheduled another city-wide event to promote health and community.
The Interfaith Health and Wellness Planning Committee has organized a street fair that will be held on June 1 for all members of the community. The committee hopes to provide health information to all attendees, spread important messages and demonstrate modern health screening technologies in a family-oriented atmosphere.
From 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Fourth Street Basketball Park outside the Greater Centennial AME Zion Church, there will be free health screenings, prizes, giveaways and food.
