Born in Athens, Georgia, Bell was a resident of Bridgeport for 60 years. She was employed with U.S. Surgical for 34 years as an assembler.
Bell is survived by her children, Johnnie and Shirley Bell; brother Eddie James Hill; grandsons Rasheen Latrel Bell-Davis and Marquise Tyrell Bell; and granddaughter April Nicole Meadows.
She was predeceased by her parents, John Bolden and Mamie Lipkins.
Visiting hours will be from 5-6 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 15, at Morton's Mortuary, 25 Margaret E. Morton Lane, in Bridgeport. Funeral services will follow at 6 p.m. Interment will take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 16, at Lakeview Cemetery, 885 Boston Ave., in Bridgeport.
