Movie Night, Concerts Highlight Upcoming Events In Mount Vernon

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- The City of Mount Vernon's Department of Recreation continues the summer season by offering several upcoming events.

The Summer Breeze Concert Series continues with two more upcoming concerts.

Italian and R&B Dance Night will feature FDR Drive on Friday, Aug. 21 from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. The concert will be held at Broad Street Playground (Fleetwood Avenue Playground) on Broad Street between Fleetwood and Gramatan Avenue.

Concerts are canceled when weather is forecasted to be inclement and are not rescheduled. Visit www.cmvny.com or www.mvinquirer.com on afternoon of the concert to verify if the show will run or not.

Jim Stallone & "The" Blues Band will perform on Saturday, Aug. 15 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Maggie Spillane's Ale House/Restaurant on Gramatan Avenue and Broad Street.

Family Movie Night Out Under the Stars will be held on Aug. 8, with a showtime at 8:15 p.m. The event will be held at the Fleetwood Avenue/Broad Street Playground.
