This annual event also honors Charles Lickel, executive vice president of the board of directors for TGCW and the retired vice president of Software Research for IBM, along with celebrated stage and film actor from the original production of "RENT," Anthony Rapp.
The Gala takes place from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
During the live auction, guests will have the opportunity to bid on two tickets to the American Ninja Warrior Finals in Las Vegas; a four-night stay for two people at Playa del Carmen Mayakoba Fairmont Resort in Riviera Maya, Mexico; two tickets to see the highly acclaimed "Hamilton;" dinner for two with celebrated stage and film actor and Gala honoree Rapp in New York; and two courtside seats at Madison Square Garden to a New York Knicks game in the 2015-16 season.
In addition, silent auction offerings include tickets to sporting events, jewelry and gift cards to restaurants.
Lickel is being honored for the commitment he has shown to TGCW’s early childhood education programs and, in particular, to the recently established Creative Learning Center in New Rochelle.
Rapp is being recognized for his dedication to giving back to the community on topics important to the agency. His memoir, “Without You,” delves into his feelings of loss and his struggle to find a balance between his career, which was then just beginning, and his obligation to his ailing mother. Rapp, along with Adam Pascal, also performed a benefit concert for TGCW in October 2014.
