Mount Vernon Proud 2016 To Bring Nonprofit Vendors To Doles Center.

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- Mount Vernon's Department of Recreation is seeking vendors and co-sponsors for the fourth annual Mount Vernon Proud event.

The city has scheduled this year's event for 10:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 4, on the back lawn of the Doles Community Center at 250 South 6th Ave.

The event is also to take place at the 4th Street Playground between South 7th and 8th avenues.

Organizers said Mount Vernon Proud 2016 is expected to feature health screenings, information, vendors, games, delicious food for purchase, a children's village, fun and live music.

Event organizers said they hope there are nonprofit organizations still considering involvement in Mount Vernon 2016.
