MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- The Mount Vernon Public Library will host a discussion as a part of the brown bag book discussion club and Black History Month.

They will discuss "On Her Own Ground: The Life and Times of Madam C.J. Walker" by A'leila Blundes.

Walker was a African-American entrepreneur, philanthropist, and the first female self-made millionaire in America.

On Thursday, Feb. 25, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. the discussion will take place in the trustees room. Light refreshments will be served. For questions contact Nishan Stepak at nstepak@wlsmail.org.
