Mount Vernon High School Hosts Encore Performance of 'Dreamgirls'

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- The Arts at Mount Vernon will present an encore performance of Broadway musical "Dreamgirls" on Aug. 5 - 7 in Mount Vernon High School's Auditorium.

The production features 30 students from Mount Vernon, Thornton, and Mandela/Zollicoffer high schools as cast and stage crew.

The production features 30 students from Mount Vernon, Thornton and Mandela/Zollicoffer high schools as cast and stage crew.

It is produced and directed by Evelyn Collins, the district’s director of Arts and Gifted & Talented Education. Alvin Waddles is the musical director.

The showtimes are 7 p.m., Aug. 5 and 6 (Friday and Saturday) and 3 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 7.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for students. Tickets will be available at the box office an hour before curtain.
