MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- It’s that time of year again, time for people all of ages to get together and take a day trip to the 45th annual Legislative Conference on Feb. 13 in Albany.
The trip, sponsored by the New York State Association of Black & Puerto Rican Legislators’ Conference, is for residents of all ages including youth ages 14-17 (with parent' permission).
The special trip offers everyone taking part a look inside how the Legislature works, and a chance for all generations to get to know each other.
Admissions is free for the trip, but seats are limited. The bus departs Mount Vernon City at 7 a.m.; with attendees boarding at 6 a.m. Reservations are due by Jan. 29. Send reservation request to firstname.lastname@example.org .Those attending will receive breakfast and dinner and lunch will be provided by Assemblyman J. Gary Pretlow. Organizers suggest comfortable clothes and flat walking shoes.
