MAYWOOD, N.J. -- Margot Maria Lama, 93, of Maywood, died Saturday, Oct. 15.
She was a parishioner of Most Holy Name RC Church in Garfield. She loved to play word finds, watching Spanish soap operas and taking road trips with her family. She loved spending time with her family, shopping and laughing and just being together.
She is survived by her children, Altagracia Maria Lama and Ysabel Maria Lama; grandchildren, Lucy Aviles-Lavia and her husband Nicholas and Davian J. Aviles and his girlfriend Oxana Terekhova; and great-grandchild, Charlie I. Torres.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Monday at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 S. Farview Ave., Paramus. A funeral service will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home followed by a 10 a.m. funeral Mass at Most Holy Name RC Church, 99 Marsellus Place, Garfield. Interment will be in George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
