Hansen was a graduate of Central High School in Bridgeport and the Booth and Bayless Commercial School. During World War II, she used her secretarial skills to serve her country as a Yeoman First Class in the U.S. Navy. After the war she worked for many years at an insurance agency.
She is survived by her brother David Winblad, several nieces, a nephew, as well as several grand nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brothers Charles, John, and Edward Winblad and also by her sister Anna (Winblad) Ruddock.
