The festivities will begin at 10 a.m. at One International Boulevard near One Geneva Road in Brewster, the main office of the Health Department.
This race will recognize the 27 businesses in the area who have rallied behind the Putnam County Department of Health, providing goods and monetary donations for the event.
New York Sports Clubs another returning gold sponsor, is providing one-month free gift memberships to the first 175 registered adults.
Parking will be available near the Health Department. The awards ceremony is scheduled for 11:30 a.m.
Crystal trophies will be awarded to the first overall male and female 5K finishers.
Also, age-group medals will be given to the top three 5K finishers in the following categories: 12 years and under, 13 to 15 years, 16 to 19 years, 20 to 29 years, 30 to 39 years, 40 to 49 years, 50 to 59 years, 60 to 69 years, and 70 and older.
For those who are registered and walk along with the children in the fun walk will receive commemorative medals for finishing.
The registration fee is $20 and can be done online here.
Registration will be open until Thursday online. In-person registration will be accepted until Friday at the Health Department, or race day morning from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
There is no charge for the children in the Kids’ Fun Run (12 years and younger), but they still need to be registered.
Pets and strollers are not permitted on the course.
