Driver Was Four Times Legal Limit After Lewisboro Crash, Police Say

LEWISBORO, N.Y. -- A 45-year-old Connecticut man was arrested Tuesday, Jan. 12, after crashing a car in Lewisboro with a blood alcohol content more than four times the legal limit, according to New York state police.

Corey J. Cordell, of Ridgefield, Connecticut, was not seriously injured in the one-car crash, which occurred near the intersection of Routes 138 and 121, state police said.

Cordell submitted to a Breathalyzer, which measured his blood alcohol content at .33 percent, state police said.

He was issued several tickets and later released without bail. He faces a misdemeanor count of aggravated driving while intoxicated, police said.

Cordell is to appear in Lewisboro Town Court on Monday, Jan. 18.
