Cinderella Comes To Life In Mount Vernon Saturday

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. – A prince will be searching for his princess in Mount Vernon on Saturday when Cinderella comes to the stage at Longfellow Elementary School.

There will be a free showing of the play Cinderella in Mount Vernon Saturday.

The public is invited to support the Academy Students’ Production of “Cinderella” at the recently renovated Longfellow Elementary School Auditorium at 6 p.m. Saturday. Doors will open at 5 p.m. for the free show.

Refreshments will be served before the play to a crowd that is expected to contain many Mount Vernon dignitaries. There will be audience participation, singing and dancing for viewers of all ages.

The event was made possible by contributions from the Mount Vernon School District and the Sports and Arts in Schools Foundation. Those interested in purchasing free tickets can call (914) 815-1629.
