“We’ve heard opinions from a number of elected officials, but we believe it’s important to hear the student and public perspectives on this very important issue," Borgia said in a press release. "Nobody should feel unsafe when on the campus of an institution of higher learning and furthermore no victim should feel that they are ignored, unwanted, or that somehow the attack was their fault when seeking help after a sexual assault on campus."

The forum is an opportunity for students, faculty and concerned parents to voice their concern and learn more about new policies addressing campus sexual assault.

Borgia and other invited guests will open the forum with an overview of the issues and outline solutions in the works to combat the crisis, according to a press release. Following the opening, the microphone will be turned over to the attendees. Any member of the public can share an experience, concern or suggestion.
