That's because this three-month-old pizzeria -- it opened on West Cross Street June 7 -- is family owned with Frank Lulgjuraj, his wife Suzana, and kids Alex and Ava, often behind the counter.
Lulgjuraj, who previously owned a pizzeria/restaurant in Brookfield, Conn., said he's happy to finally be able to serve his own community -- he lives in Somers.
As for his secret to success, he said it's all about the recipes. A lot of testing, tweaking and re-testing went into perfecting them, he said.
"In addition, our New York-style pizza is thin crust and always made with fresh, top quality ingredients," he said.
The community is also an important part of the business and to that end, the pizzeria is involved with local fundraisers regularly.
"We love supporting individuals and organizations that directly impact our local community on a daily basis," he said.
"We also show our gratitude to police officers, firefighters, EMT, and military by offering them a discount in store on everyday purchases."
