Mount Vernon Union President Suspended Over Time Sheets

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- The president of the Mount Vernon chapter of the CSEA local covering municipal workers was suspended from his position this week after he was accused of time-sheet fraud, according to lohud.com.

Nicholas Cicchetti was suspended on Tuesday, according to lohud.com, which cited Maria Donovan, special assistant to Mount Vernon Mayor Richard Thomas.

Mount Vernon officials scheduled a hearing on the matter for Friday during which Cicchetti will have the opportunity to defend himself, according to lohud.com, which reported that that city will take action, if it is needed, after the hearing.

Cicchetti serves in a number of roles locally including as the assistant superintendent at Mount Vernon's Board of Water Supply, as the chairman of the board at the Wartburg Foundation and as a board member of the Mount Vernon Neighborhood Health Center, according to lohud.com.
