News12 reported that OK Freddy’s Meat Market had been briefly re-opened under a judge’s order so the owner, Estrado Willis, could make repairs.

The shop at 132 S. Fourth Ave. was raided again by the city, which said the violations still existed, and its locks were changed, the News12 report said.

It, and a bottle and can redemption center on Third Street, also targeted by Mount Vernon in its recent crackdown on slumlords and errant businesses, are now both suing the city and Mayor Richard Thomas, another News12 story said.
