Mount Vernon Firm Faces $24,000 In Fines For Safety Lapses

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- A firm from Mount Vernon will face fines up to $24,000 for safety violations at its workplaces, according to lohud.com.

MunnWorks was fined by the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration after it received complaints about the conditions. The inspectors eventually visited the site at 150 N. MacQuesten Parkway in February and came away with 14 violations, according to lohud.com.

This is the second time OSHA has gotten complaints about MunnWorks, which manufactures fine mirrors and framed artwork for the hospitality industry. The fines are still subject to change as the case is still open, according to lohud.com.
