Mount Vernon Among Best Cities To Start A Restaurant In The U.S.

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- Consumer finance site NerdWallet recently published a report that found the best cities to start a restaurant in the nation, and Mount Vernon ranked among the top 50, coming in at number 33.

Mount Vernon is one of the 50 best places in the country to start a restaurant according to NerdWallet.

In determining their rankings, NerdWallet examined 530 cities in the U.S., each with a population of at least 50,000. They used U.S. Census data to calculate the score for each city based on demand for new restaurants and local economic conditions that could affect the success of those restaurants.
