MT. VERNON, N.Y. -- Business Council of Westchester member Joe Simone, of Simone Development Companies, received the Martin S. Berger Award for Lifetime Achievement at the annual March of Dimes Breakfast held Thursday at the Renaissance Hotel in White Plains.
Simone, whose company owns and manages more than 5 million square feet of commercial, medical and retail space in the tri-state region, was honored for his impact on the real estate industry.
The award is named after the late Martin Berger, who along partner Robert Weinberg, founded the Robert Martin Company, a leader in real estate development.
Last month, the Business Council presented its first Westchester Business Champion Award to Simone who, along with John Fareri, is currently developing a new medical office building in Purchase for WESTMED Medical Group.
