Mayor Richard Thomas, whose newly formed quality-of-life task force is going after illegal or unsafe businesses, and Estrado Willis, owner of OK Freddy’s Meat Market, have been butting heads for weeks over the South Fourth Avenue shop, according to multiple media reports.

While the judge said on Tuesday, that the city was out of line when it padlocked the store over the weekend, she did not order that it be reopened, lohud.com said.

Instead, the judge scolded the battling parties Tuesday and urged them to find a resolution to their problems, lohud.com said.

The city also is currently targeting a bottle and can redemption on Third Street, according to a report by News12.
