Former Pepsi Executive Released From Custody In Drug Case

PURCHASE, N.Y. -- Former Pepsi executive Julie Hamp was released by Japanese authorities on Wednesday after spending 20 days in custody for allegedly importing oxycodone pills without permission, according to The Wall Street Journal.

Hamp, 55, lost her job as Toyota's Chief Communications Officer as a result of the charges. Hamp was released without any charges being brought against her. Officials said they felt justice had already been served, The Wall Street Journal said.
