MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. – Mount Vernon got a little bit sweeter this week, as the Cupcake Cutie Boutique opened its doors to customers, offering a wide variety of gourmet treats from a lifelong Mount Vernon resident.
Over the weekend, city officials joined Cupcake Cutie Boutique owner Miesha Stokley for a public grand opening celebration where they unveiled more than 30 different varieties of “gourmet cupcakes and sweet treats” on South Sixth Avenue.
Stokley – who was joined by Mount Vernon Mayor Ernest Davis, City Councilman and mayoral candidate Richard Thomas, Westchester County Legislator Lyndon Williams and several other prominent local officials – said that Cupcake Cutie Boutique is bringing a host of flavors that the city has never seen.
“We offer an unprecedented collection of flavors and frostings,” she said. “Our trained culinary team has developed a one-stop shop for your favorite cupcakes and treats in the state of New York.”
Stokley, who graduated from Mount Vernon High School, said that her location will feature a taste suitable for anyone and everyone, regardless of dietary restrictions, including a series of breakfast, diabetic and vegan selections.
“It’s essential that we offer something for everyone,” she added. “Our vegan and diabetic-friendly product line offers a delicious option for individuals with dietary restrictions or limitations.
“This is just the start of the Cupcake Cutie Boutique brand. We are looking forward to expanding this bakery concept across the entire metro area and beyond. One taste of our products will put a smile on any customer’s face.”
